This is not your average call centre or telemarketing position! You will be required to phone and promote a fantastic fundraiser which is held every year for a well known and successful charity. You will be contacting local community facilities and asking them to participate in the fund raiser free of charge. You will be contacting the organizations over a three month period and developing relationsips in order to create a successful project. The ideal candidate must have at least 1 years call centre or telemarketing experience and be able to deal with both organizations and individuals. Fitzrovia Youth in Action is a charity operating in central London with a track record of supporting young people in organising community projects. We are seeking to recruit a full time Youth Forum Co-ordinator with experience of initiating, managing and running programmes in a community setting. The post holder will oversee the establishment and development of five youth forums across Camden and work alongside other professionals to support the young people in planning and delivering outdoor festivals and media production to get their views and concerns across to others. We are also seeking to recruit a Project Worker to support the Youth Forum Co-ordinator, in all aspects of this new project. An offer of a job share may be available and we welcome applications based on a job share of 17.5 hours a week. The successful candidates will be enthusiastic and motivated, have at least two years’ experience of developmental work with young people in an inner city environment and must be able to manage complex workloads. Previous experience of supporting youth-led community action would be a great advantage as would the possession of a youth work qualification.
